A. Dry Mounting
Large Format Dry Mounting, Up To 60"x120"
We provide an array of different dry mounting boards, including Foamcore, Gator Board and Sintra Board, and Dibond Board.
Mounting Board Types:
- Foam board (black, white) – 3/16” and ½”, up to 48x96
- Gator board (black, white) – 3/16” and ½”, up to 60x120
- Sintra (black, white) – 3mm and 6mm, up to 60x120
- Dibond (white, silver) – 3mm, up to 60x120
Foamcore is the least expensive backing material. It is smooth and lightweight. Not suitable for long term displays because foamcore is susceptible to moisture and can bend or curl. Excellent for use in aluminum frames.
Gator Foam is excellent for long-term indoor applications. Gator Foam is more rigid than Mighty Core, higher tolerance to moisture but edges can become sharp after trimming. Excellent for aluminum, wooded and composite frames.
Sintra Board is excellent for long-term indoor/outdoor applications. It is a lightweight yet rigid board of moderately expanded closed-cell polyvinyl chloride (PVC) extruded in a homogenous sheet with a low gloss matte finish. Superior dent and scratch resistance. Available in 3mm(1/8") and 6mm(1/4") thicknesses.
Dibond Board is the industry's leading aluminum composite material (ACM) for more than 15 years. It is perfect for very large pieces and touring exhibitions. Weighing less than half that of aluminium this material is composed of a dark plastic core with a thin layer of aluminium coated on each side. Its superior surface will protect expensive digital and screen-printed graphics. It also provides excellent durability in outdoor applications. Won't bow or curl.
B. Acrylic Face Mounting
Making Your Image "POP"
Our design team has years of experience in plexiglass framing. We adhere your print to a Plexiglas® surface using a special adhesive that does not corrode or yellow your image, providing an airtight seal. Plexi framing creates added dimension to an image and protects against scratches, dirt and aging.
Our plexiglass framing includes wood or aluminum braces adhered to the back of the mounts for hanging, giving you a "floating" presentation to display your images.
Acrylic Face Mounting involves adhering the front side of a photograph to the back of a sheet of acrylic, so any light reflections between the photograph and the glazing of an ordinary frame is eliminated. As a result, color appears sharper, brilliant, and more intense.
